Central Industrial was founded in 1913 under Central Electric. The focus of Central in our early years was to serve southern Ohio's electrical needs. Electrical contracting and motor rewinding were the first services we provided to local industry. Over the past 80 years we have evolved into the wholesale distribution of industrial control, electrical supplies, power transmission equipment, and rubber products. When the scope of our products and services broadened to serve all industries, we changed our name to Central Industrial Supply. We now service central and southern Ohio, and northern Kentucky.

State Electric Supply Company, Huntington, West Virginia, was pleased to announce the acquisition of Central Industrial in 2004. The company will continue to operate as Central Industrial of State Electric and the existing management team will remain in place.
