STATE ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY WINS THE A-D BEST ANNUAL PLANNING AWARD

This year’s best annual planning winner conducted a successful FMS not just once but 7 times, over 2,000 miles, and in the span of less than two weeks. State Electric, headquartered in Huntington, West Virginia faced the challenge of coordinating the interests of 40 locations who support a wide range of A-D Suppliers. Taking a page out of the Field Marketing Summits playbook, the Suppliers for each regional Field Marketing Summits were chosen grass-roots style, by the branches in the region.

A comprehensive, company-wide plan was developed and each Field Marketing Summit was charged with focusing on 3 target areas; Electrical Safety, Energy Saving Products and Service, and Institutional Customers.

In addition, each Field Marketing Summit was charged with 5 major goals; develop new business, gain market share with existing customers, grow business with Field Marketing Summits partners, improve merchandising and increase SSP activity at branches.

And with $130,000 in focused SSP activities completed in just the first quarter, the team at State got off to a very fast start.
