COMPANIES CHANGE NAME TO STATE ELECTRIC

Shepherd Electric Supply Group, Ligon Electric Supply Company & Tolley Electric Company have officially announced a name change to reflect State Electric Supply Company.
State Electric Supply Company, founded in Huntington in 1952 is one of the nation's largest and best-known electrical distributors, ranking 15th nationally according to Electrical Wholesaling Magazine. Since its founding, the company expanded from one location in Huntington, to today's network of 40 branches in six states.
Fourteen of the 40 branches are located in the state of North Carolina. Ligon Electric has been part of the State Electric family since 1992 and Shepherd Supply Group since 2007. Both companies supply products to residential, commercial, industrial and institutional customers throughout North Carolina. Tolley Electric Company (of Clarksburg and Morgantown) joined the State Electric family in 1986.
